2- Be original. Do NOT use any copywrited material.
3- Have good quality videos. And don't have a shaky camcorder either. Use a tripod, good film lights, mics....
4- Advertise your channel. Not just make a social network page, but make a little slice of paper that shows your logo, your link, and what your about, and put them on cars, and/or mailboxes.
5- Sub 4 Sub! Tell people to sub 4 sub, then they will subscribe to your channel. Then when they subscribe, you SUBSCRIBE BACK!
6- Make a cool intro for your videos. Plenty of ways to do this... http://FilxPress.com, make one with your video editor, http://SketchUp.Google.com, and that's just what I could think of RIGHT NOW....
7- Cover trendy topics.
